Account Executive

An Account Executive is an integral part of the Agency.  The Account Executive takes ownership of their assigned responsibilities and is responsible for managing day-to-day efforts towards successful execution of brand/product Client goals.  The Account Executive is resourceful in meeting challenges, responsive, willing to work hard to get the job done (and done right) and has a strong sense of responsibility.  They show initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, passion for the business and willingness/eagerness to learn.  Through it all, the Account Executive works well under pressure and maintains a positive attitude. 

Execution

  • Assumes responsibility for running the day-to-day operation of their assigned accounts
  • Is proactive about generating business building ideas for both Client and the Agency
  • Actively pursues new business
  • Effectively utilizes Agency systems and procedures (opening jobs, billing, etc.)
  • Exhibits ability and strength as a self starter
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and handles multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Makes good use of time—working in a timely and efficient manner
  • Shows initiative and exhibits problem-solving mentality
  • Knows Clients/internal personnel and how to navigate the inner workings of both organizations
  • Monitors changing scope of jobs and tracks estimates against actuals
  • Manages billing and resolves discrepancies; assists with preparation of Agency forecast
  • Prepares weekly status reports (internal/external)
  • Ensures perfection in work that leaves the agency

  • Exhibits intimate product/Client/industry knowledge
  • Learns to identify and understand objectives before proceeding with projects
  • Develops creative solutions to problems and ways to complete assignments
  • Thoroughly familiarizes self with Agency research resources and business-related data provided by Client

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree, preferably in a communications-related discipline (marketing, advertising, public relations, journalism)
  • Alternatively, four-year college degree in unrelated discipline with 3+ years of applicable business experience
